Stanley Meyer
Biography
Stanley Allen Meyer was an American inventor who claimed to have developed a "Water Fuel Cell" that could power a vehicle using water as the sole fuel source. His Voltage Intensifier Circuit (VIC) used pulsed, high-voltage electric fields and resonant circuits to dissociate water molecules with dramatically less energy than conventional electrolysis. Meyer demonstrated a water-powered dune buggy and attracted significant media attention throughout the 1990s. He died suddenly on March 20, 1998, at age 57 — supporters believe he was poisoned; the official cause was cerebral aneurysm. His multiple US patents remain the primary technical reference for water fuel cell research.
