Nikola Tesla
Biography
Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and futurist who is best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electrical supply system. With over 300 patents to his name, Tesla's work forms the absolute foundation of the alternative energy research field. His concepts of resonance, bifilar coil design, radiant energy, single-wire transmission, longitudinal waves, and wireless power transfer remain actively researched over a century later. His 1893 lecture "On Light and Other High Frequency Phenomena" and his Colorado Springs experiments are primary source material for modern researchers.
