Overview
A Switched Energy Resonant Power Supply demonstrated at the 2014 Energy Science & Technology Conference. Uses a power transformer to run loads while storing energy in capacitors, which discharge back through the load to neutralize the load seen by the power supply. Babcock's 5-nanosecond ultra-fast switching is the key innovation. Live demo powered 50W incandescent bulbs while drawing approximately 1 watt from source.
⚖️ What Would Convince Us?
To validate the anomalies claimed for this device under mainstream scientific parameters, builders and inventors must document and present evidence satisfying the following criteria:
Calibrated calorimetry of bulb heat emission vs electric input
Accurate 5ns switching rise-time power capture
Multi-lab validation of transformer energy recycling
Investigation & Credibility Metrics
Direct inventor writings, patents, or lab notebooks available.
Claimed overunity/propulsion has not been verified in a control lab.
Sub-components work, but operational COP > 1 has not been replicated.
Oscilloscopes and power analyzers used to record transient waveforms.
This device is purely open-source or historical; no active sales.
Community Status
The single most dramatic COP claim demonstrated live at a major conference. Paul Babcock's passing in June 2024 makes preserving this technology critical. Aaron Murakami's A&P Electronic Media plans to continue releasing Babcock's technologies.
